What is PCOD and PCOS problem ?

Most women make the mistake of considering PCOD and PCOS to be the same condition but in reality there is a big gap between the two. If you ignore its symptoms, you may face serious problems in the future.

One cannot become a mother in one problem but in another it is increasing day by day obesity, very important information for everyone who has a woman in the house !!!

Women face a number of health problems, including polycystic ovary disease (PCOD) and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Both of these are common problems related to ovarian function and their hormones. Generally women are confused about both these issues and some even consider both the situations as similar. This is the reason why people get confused between PCOD and PCOS but there are some differences between them.

The female ovaries release a few eggs and hormones each month that control fertility, menstrual periods, and facial hair.

PCOD

What is PCOD?

PCOD is a medical condition where the ovaries release eggs prematurely, which over time transform into cysts. When this happens, women have to deal with irregular periods, weight gain, hair loss like men and abdominal pain. During this time, the ovaries increase in size and the body releases high levels of male hormones (androgens). Unhealthy lifestyle habits such as excessive consumption of junk food and obesity are responsible for this condition.

What is PCOS?

PCOS is a metabolic disorder of the endocrine system. This condition causes the body to release more male hormones which leads to irregularity in ovulation. This stage causes many cysts (small lumps or abscesses) to form in the ovaries. This condition is more dangerous and serious than PCOD. In such cases weight gain begins to increase rapidly.

The gap between PCOD and PCOS

  • PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Disease) is not considered a complete disease, it is a common condition and PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) is a serious condition.
  • By making significant changes in your lifestyle, you can get rid of the problems caused by PCOD. For this you need to include healthy diet and exercise in your routine. On the other hand, PCOS should be treated after consulting a doctor as it is a metabolic disorder.
  • Nearly one-third of the world’s women suffer from PCOD, which means it is a common problem. But PCOS is a disease and there are far fewer cases of PCOS than women with PCOSD.
  • While PCOS is a disorder of the endocrine system, PCOS is a medical condition caused by a hormonal imbalance.
  • Endocrine system disorder i.e. endocrine system disorder can cause hormonal imbalance. Hormonal imbalance is a symptom not a disorder. Therefore, PCOS is a disease and PCOD is a manifestation of a symptom.
