Acidity, also called acid reflux, is a common condition in which pain is felt around the lower chest area. It is common when excessive stomach acid production flows back into the food pipe.

The problem of acidity is caused due to various reasons or caused by side effects of various diseases; the major reason behind acidity is an improper lifestyle; acidity can be caused to any person belonging to any age group.

Panchakarma Treatment

The Panchakarma treatment is very effective and natural and shows positive acidity In panchakarma; there is a five procedure therapy such Vamanam, Virechanam, Vasthi, Nasyam, and Rakthamoksham. These therapies are totally ayurvedic and do not have any side effects on the other parts of the body, which deals with every problem individually as everyone has different problems. Each consists of different aspects like body type in Ayurveda called (Prakrithi), and Imbalance in the Doshas called (Vikruthi). Its treatment procedure involves various stages that are very effective and natural and help in cleansing and nourishing body tissues. Through massage with the help of specific oil and heat therapy, the treatment tries to make a proper balance of Doshas in the body, as these doshas move to the alimentary canal from the peripherals and can be removed. In most cases, only a few parts of the therapies are required for individuals, which depends upon the individual’s conditions.

Vamana – Inducing Emesis

This is one of the best panchakarma therapies. Through this therapy, the stomach is purified and helps in the proper balance of the kapla. This therapy is totally natural and consists of natural emesis. This is also effective for patients suffering from Asthma, Psoriasis, etc.

Virechana – Purgation

This treatment of purgation is one of the effective treatments of the panchakarma that helps balance the Pitha as an imbalance of the pitha causes various problems such as skin disorders, diabetes, jaundice, ulcers, and other rheumatic diseases. Specific and natural medication is applied for the removal of the toxins from the intestines that causes acidity.

Vasthi – Therapeutic Enema

Vasthi is another important form of treatment in Panchkarma that effectively balances Vata. Through this, it helps in the recovery from disorders caused due to imbalance of the Vata that causes diseases such as arthritis, paralysis, and gastric complaints. There are three types of Vasthis – Sneha Vasthi (Oil), Kashaya Vasthi (Decoction), and Uthara Vasthi. This therapy helps in the removal and recovery process in the acidity case as the individual receives the treatment according to the individual‘s need and requirement and the effects of the therapy are always positive as it is totally natural and shows no side effects on the other parts of the body.

Nasya – Nasal Medication

Nasyam is one of the main and basic therapies done by the panchakarma; the required and natural medication is passed through the nostrils. According to Ayurveda, the gateway of the head is the nasal passage, as well as the nasal passage, offers the easiest access to the head as stress is one of the main causes of acidity therefore, it is the most convenient therapy or way of delivering the need and set medication for the disease. This therapy is also effective for various problems and diseases of the head, neck, thorax, etc. Nasyam is also effective and helps helpful in reducing hair fall, improving vision, and enhancing the complexion.

Rakta Moksha – Bloodletting

Rakthamoksha is one of the therapies mostly used in panchakarma for acidity. This therapy removes toxins and wastes from the skin and blood through bloodletting. This effective treatment results in diseases related to the blood, skin, etc.
